The Beginning Glass Fusing class is two days in length. During the first day students will learn the basics of how to fuse glass, and the compatibility of fusing glass. They'll learn about kilns, firing schedules, frit, stringer and noodles and how that all applies to glass fusing.

Then, they will create a project for fusing. At the end of the day those projects will be fired. During the second day we'll discuss the projects, what worked, what didn't and then plan a second project. We'll also go a little further into the details of the firing schedules, kiln prep and glass characteristics. The projects from the second day can be picked up during the week as they are fired by the staff.

Students who need basic cutting skills can show up 1/2 hour prior to class, where you will be taught the basics of cutting glass.

Tools and materials will be supplied for this class.
